Port-of-Spain, Trinidad; April 2, 2012: In an attempt to help improve the lives of persons experiencing trauma related issues, Republic Bank partnered with The Trauma Centre of Trinidad and Tobago, to host a four day workshop targeted at highly trained social workers, psychologists, therapists, counselors and critical incident stress debriefers.

The workshop ran from March 29 to April 1, at the Trauma Centre of Trinidad and Tobago on DeVerteuil Street, Woodbrook.

The workshop was aimed at persons with a deep interest in working with people who have experienced trauma during some stage in their life. This support, through a contribution of $50,100.00 is in keeping with the bank's Power to Make a Difference, social investment initiative, under the banner, the Power to Care.

Facilitator for the workshop was Dr. Ragnhild Malnati, psychotherapist in private practice in Washington DC, where she works with individuals and couples, using a therapeutic approach called, "Viewing"- which is a systematic application of principles and techniques that includes Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR).

Republic Bank takes pride in supporting such an initiative, as we continue to lend support to some of this country's most vulnerable citizens.
