Republic Bank Demonstrates the Power to Make a Difference in United Way Trinidad and Tobago's National Day of Caring

Port of Spain, Trinidad, May 20, 2024: Over 170 employees from Republic Bank volunteered for community projects throughout the country in support of United Way’s National Day of Caring 2024. This annual event, organized by United Way Trinidad and Tobago, encourages both businesses and individuals to fulfill their social responsibility by participating in volunteer activities.

Republic Bank has been a dedicated supporter of United Way Trinidad and Tobago’s National Day of Caring through its Power to Make a Difference programme since 2013. The Bank sees the National Day of Caring as a valuable chance to contribute resources and manpower to help non-profit organizations and schools in need.

On May 19, 2024, the Bank completed a variety of projects, including the beautification of gardens and repainting projects in schools. Four primary schools were visited on this day, which included:

  • St. John’s (Diego Martin) Girls’ Roman Catholic
  • Matura Government Primary
  • Caratal Sacred Heart Roman Catholic
  • Seereeram Memorial Vedic

The transformative efforts aimed to enhance the learning environments and create a more welcoming and inspiring space for students and teachers.

Through the Power to Make a Difference program, the bank works hand in hand with organizations, such as United Way Trinidad and Tobago, who share the same shared vision of making a positive change in our society. The bank believes that with the support of partners like United Way, everyone has the ability to work together and create a bright future.
