Great News!

We have enhanced the security for your Republic Visa Debit Card when you are making local online payments!

This is made possible through 3D Secure. 3D Secure is a service provided by Visa which acts as a method of authentication. This enhances the security of online transactions for all credit and debit card owners by permitting only the cardholder to use the card when shopping online.

Here’s how 3D Secure works:
1. When completing your online transactions, upon entering your credit card information you will be prompted to choose a method of verifying that you are the owner of the card. This is done by sending the card owner a One-Time Password (OTP) / verification code.
2. You will be required to choose between two convenient options to receive the code, via SMS or e-mail.
3. The code will be sent directly to your mobile or e-mail address shortly thereafter.
4. You will then enter the unique code provided and can proceed with your purchase.

Once you follow this process, you would have taken that extra step to make your transaction even safer!

Important things to note!
• You must ensure that your contact number and e-mail address are updated with the Bank to receive the OTP. To do this, visit a conveniently located branch.
• The OTP will be valid for eleven (11) minutes once received.
• No registration for 3D Secure is required.
• 3D Secure is free for all cardholders.
