Athletes compete at the NAAATT Junior and Senior Championships

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, July 3, 2024: In 2024, Republic Bank continued its partnership of more than ten (10) years with the National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago (NAAATT) to host the National NAAATT Junior and Senior National Championships. Held from June 28 to June 30, the annual competition brought together athletes across Trinidad and Tobago to demonstrate their prowess to the delight of avid supporters at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

The event featured many track and field disciplines including sprints, hurdles, long distance running, relays, high jumps, long jumps, shot put and discus throw. Athletes took to the field to compete for the best timing in the above categories and a chance to qualify for international competitions, including the 2024 Summer Olympics scheduled for late July in Paris, France. Among the competitors were some of Trinidad and Tobago’s world-renowned athletes including Jereem Richards, Keshorn Walcott and Tyra Gittens.

Republic Bank continues to support NAAATT through its Power to Make A Difference corporate social responsibility programme. The Bank aims to equip our young athletes with the Power to Learn and the Power to Succeed, through sport development.
