Imagine this: You’re standing in the cashier’s line at the grocery store with one item in tow. There’s a person ahead of you with an entire trolley of grocery items, however, they motion to you that it’s ok to move to the front of the line. How would you feel? Euphoric, right? Probably grateful to know that simple acts of kindness still exist in the world. We believe that we all have an individual social responsibility to commit ourselves to these simple acts of kindness for the betterment of our country and the world so that we can all achieve that feeling of euphoria.

In 2017, we launched #BeTheOne, a social good campaign and an extension of our Power to Make a Difference programme that creates a movement of change by extending social responsibility on a granular level. Citizens are encouraged to fulfill their civic duty, whether it is by pay-it-forward actions or as small as helping the elderly cross the busy street. We all have a part to play.

The campaign boasts of a number of highly successful initiatives, including the #BeTheOne Scavenger Hunt which is a treasure hunt-styled event where participants are encouraged to hunt for and complete a list of predetermined good deeds.
