HERO Film Premieres at TT Film Festival

Port of Spain, Trinidad, July 31, 2018: HERO, which depicts the extraordinary life and times of Trinidadian war veteran, lawyer and diplomat, Ulric Cross will have its world premiere during the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival, which takes place on September 18 – 25, at cinemas across the country.

Directed by Frances-Anne Solomon and produced by Lisa Wickham, the film which will premiere on September 18, at NAPA, Port of Spain, captures the essence of Cross’ life, his achievements and his contribution to the Pan African movement. HERO merges the music of now with that of the 40s and 50s, interweaving archival footage with present-day footage, captured in the UK, Trinidad and Tobago and Ghana. The film stars a number of leading Ghanaian actors and Trinidadians actors, including Rudolph Walker, Joseph Marcel and Nikolai Salcedo who plays the part of Ulric Cross.

HERO joins the ranks of feature length films that also premiered at the TT Film Festival, such as Green Days by the River, which was directed by Michael Mooledhar. Ticket details will be announced soon.
