Republic Bank Appoints New Member to Board of Directors: Caroline Sirju-Ramnarine, VP at Atlantic LNG

Port of Spain, Trinidad, April 4, 2022: Republic Bank has announced the addition of Mrs. Caroline Toni Sirju-Ramnarine to the Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2022.

“I’m truly excited to be joining this esteemed Board of Directors. The needs of Republic Bank's customers, employees, regulators, and other stakeholders are changing at a rapid pace. It’s wonderful to see Republic Bank addressing these changes in a thoughtful and innovative manner, with sustainable governance being high on the agenda,” Sirju-Ramnarine said.

With a degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of the West Indies – where she was named one of The University’s Distinguished Alumni – and an MSc in International Management from King’s College, London, Mrs. Sirju-Ramnarine has risen to lead teams in an array of professional fields.

She has built a career spanning more than 25 years in the energy sector, during which she held and continues to hold senior leadership in the areas of engineering, business development, project development and management, corporate communications, strategy and planning, and information technology.

Mrs. Sirju-Ramnarine is the Vice President, Corporate Operations and Transformation, at Atlantic LNG, and the President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) – the third woman to be appointed in that position during the Chamber’s 30-year history. She also serves as a Director on the Loan for Enterprise and Network Development (LEND) and formerly as Director of The Dispute Resolution Centre and of structural engineering firm, KS&P Ltd. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago.

In welcoming Republic’s newest board member, Chairman Vincent Pereira said, “Toni’s extensive leadership experience, combined with her global client advisory experience, makes her an ideal addition to the Board.
