Republic Bank Celebrates the 2025/2026 Graduates of the Republic Bank Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, June 15, 2026: Republic Bank celebrated the graduates of its 2025/2026 Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme on Friday, June 12, at Republic House under the theme “The Future in Focus”. The graduation marked the successful completion of a seven-month journey for twenty-five ambitious young individuals eager to take the next step toward their futures.

The event brought together graduates, their families, Republic Bank Executives, and staff to recognize the achievements of the Youth Linkers, who spent the duration of the programme gaining hands-on experience, developing professional skills, and building the confidence needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic world.

Since its launch in 1986, the Republic Bank Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme has helped bridge the gap between education and employment for young people between the ages of 16 and 19. Through immersive learning experiences, Youth Linkers gain valuable skills, build confidence, and develop the competencies needed to succeed in today’s workplace. It spans a period of seven months during which time the participants are attached to branches and specialist units throughout the Republic Bank network.

Delivering the Welcome Address, Baldath Ramkissoon, General Manager of Group Human Resources at Republic Bank described the Youth Link initiative as more than just a programme, “For almost four decades, Youth Link has been more than just a programme. It has been a pathway to opportunity, equipping young people with practical experience, valuable workplace skills, and the confidence to pursue their ambitions.” He added, “Through this programme, countless participants have been empowered to transform potential into purpose, and today, you join that proud legacy.”

The ceremony also featured an inspiring presentation by social media personality, Shevonne Metivier, and a captivating musical performance by Saxophonist, Irwyn Roach.
