The Republic Bank Junior Golf Open 2021 Shines a Light On Local Talent

April 9, 2021, Port of Spain, Trinidad: The nation’s best and brightest young golfers took centre stage this week at the Republic Bank Junior Golf Open. The 3-day tournament which ended yesterday was held at the Millennium Lakes Golf Club in Trincity.

In the end, Chris Richards Jr. defended his title in the boy’s 16-18 category scoring 219 to secure victory. Jean-Marc Chevrotiere took the second spot scoring 228, with Zico Correia coming in third with 238.

Fatimah Emamalie took top honours in the girl’s 11-13 category with a score of 285 over Elise La Borde who scored 317. Isaiah Rowley the lone entrant in the boy’s 11-13 category scored 277.

The Bank, through its Power to Make a Difference programme has sponsored the Trinidad and Tobago Junior Golf Open for almost two decades giving talented local youngsters the opportunity to display their talent and ability.
