Republic Bank Launches 2025/2026 Power to Make a Difference Programme with 75 NGO Partners

Port of Spain, Trinidad, October 10, 2025: Seventy-five (75) non-governmental organisations (NGOs) dedicated to creating positive social change have been selected as the partners of the Republic Bank Power to Make a Difference (PMAD) programme for the 2025/2026 period. The announcement was made at official launch of the Bank’s flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative held at Republic House on October 9, 2025.

This year’s launch marks the third year of the Bank’s five-year TT$125 million commitment (2023-2028) towards social development through the Power to Make a Difference programme.

Guided by the theme, “Powered by Purpose, Transforming Communities”, the event highlighted the Bank’s ongoing commitment to initiatives that promote education, healthcare, environmental preservation, inclusion, culture, sport, youth development, poverty alleviation, and entrepreneurship.

In addition to providing financial support, Republic Bank continues to foster active collaboration, with its PMAD partners. Executives and staff work alongside NGOs to help bring their projects to life, amplifying their reach and community impact.

Speaking at the launch, Vice President, Richard Sammy remarked, “Looking ahead, we are determined to make this year our most impactful yet.” He went on to say, “We will continue to strengthen partnerships, encourage innovation, and find new ways of making sure our collective efforts create ripple effects across communities – not just for today, but for generations to come.”

Launched in 2003 in Trinidad and Tobago, the Power to Make a Difference programme aligns with the Bank’s Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) objectives and its commitment under the United Nation’s Principles for Responsible Banking to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Over the years, PMAD has expanded beyond Trinidad and Tobago to several other territories in which Republic Bank operates including Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, Grenada, Guyana, and Suriname. The programme stands as a testament to the Bank's dedication to building stronger, more resilient communities across the region.

Anchored by four key pillars, the Power to Learn, Succeed, Help, and Care — the programme continues to guide Republic Bank’s efforts to create meaningful, sustainable, and lasting impact throughout society.
