Republic Bank Launches Its Annual Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme 2021

Port of Spain, February 18, 2020: Bridging the Gap: Republic Bank celebrated 35 years of its Youth Link Apprenticeship Programme during the programme’s launch on February 10, 2021. Since its inception in 1986, Youth Link has provided hundreds of young adults with the tools, insights and marketable skills in business as well as, valuable skills in professional and social development to aid them in the transition from school to the professional world. This year, twenty-six (26) fifth and sixth form graduates from the Business Studies and Science streams, between the ages of 16 -19 years were inducted into various specialist units and branches where they will be exposed knowledge of banking and its operations, invaluable and a plethora of other development initiatives. The ongoing pandemic has created a host of challenges for workforce development initiatives worldwide, however, Republic Bank remains committed to continue investing in the youth of this great nation.
