Republic Bank Temporarily Reopens Select Branches

Port of Spain, Trinidad, April 27, 2020: As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Republic Bank has implemented a reduced branch network. However, in recognition of the additional demand for access to banking services at the month end and early in the month, we wish to advise that we will be temporarily reopening select branches. This will facilitate the increase in customer volume expected from pensioners, persons accessing disability grants and monthly paid workers among others, during this time.

The following branches will only reopen for business from Thursday April 30, to Wednesday May 6:

• Diego Martin
• Grand Bazaar
• Trincity
• Valpark

• Couva
• Fyzabad
• Mayaro
• Siparia
• South Park
• Woodbrook

Mall branches will open from 10am-2pm and Non-mall branches will be opened from 8am-1pm. The first two hours of service will be dedicated to the elderly (persons 60 years and over) as well as the differently abled, only. Persons receiving COVID-19 Social Assistance Grants who do not fall into either of these categories, will receive service thereafter.

As we work on charting the way forward during this new normal, Republic Bank wishes to remind customers if you must visit a branch, please adhere to the guidelines of wearing a mask (you will be asked to remove your mask temporarily when conducting transactions at the teller) as well as practice social distancing.

Additionally, as far as possible, limit the number of in-branch visits and utilize its digital and electronic banking channels. We have modified our sign-up procedures for internet banking so that you can do so without coming into the bank. Please check our website at www.republictt.com for details.
