Republic Celebrates Excellence

Port of Spain, Trinidad, March 28:Thunderous applause and loud cheers echoed throughout the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port-of-Spain on Saturday (March 25) as Fyzabad Branch was announced the Branch of the Year for Fiscal 2015/2016, at the Bank’s annual Staff Recognition Award Ceremony.

Themed, “180 years of Excellence”, in keeping with the Bank’s 180th anniversary to be celebrated on May 15, the event also saw an inclusion of the President’s Group Innovate Award, which was awarded to Nikeisha Daniel from the Banks’ Human Resources Department. The award symbolises the Bank’s commitment to empowering staff and fostering a vibrant culture of innovation. For the second year, staff were recognised for embodying the organisation’s five Core Values; Professionalism, Integrity, Respect for the Individual, Results Orientation and Customer Focus, with awards named after the Bank’s former Managing Directors.

The Managing Director’s Spirit of Republic Award was presented to Farid Antar, General Manager, Corporate Operations and Process Improvement, for living all of the Bank’s Core Values with high performance and expertise. Antar was described as an unrelenting champion of Republic Bank.

Other awards included: Customer Satisfaction (Top Performer), Deposit Campaign (Branch with the Highest % over Target), Most Improved Branch, Most Improved Specialist Unit of the Year and Top Sales Officer. The stage belonged to the Fyzabad Branch as they also took home several awards on the day.

Wendell Constantine and television personality Samantha John, hosted the evening’s proceedings.
