Staff honoured at long service awards

Port of Spain, Trinidad, May 31, 2017: It was an evening of glitz, glamour and excitement, as hundreds of Republic Bank staff members, gathered at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, on Saturday May 27, to honour their teammates at the annual Long Service Award Function.

In recognition of the Bank’s 180th anniversary, the event which was themed, “180 Years of Service”, honoured staff members who have served in the bank’s employ, for the past 20, 25,30,35 and 40 years.

Delivering remarks, Managing Director, Nigel Baptiste, thanked the staff members for their dedication, service and commitment, saying, “Thank You, cannot begin to express how much we value all that you have done, the sacrifices you and your families and spouses, some of whom are here to celebrate with you today, have made, and the sheer hard work and dedication you have given toward making this Bank, the best in the country,” Baptiste said.

“I solemnly encourage you to continue along the path so well charted with the same drive, zest and focus that you have ably demonstrated for so many years. Staying committed, it is a challenge and it is one that you have passed with flying colours,” Baptiste said.

Ancil Valley and radio personality Nikki Crosby, provided entertainment throughout the evening, while Jason “JW” Williams and Natacha Jones hosted the evening’s proceedings.

The event ended on a high note with three (3) Ruby Class honorees, Peter Adams, Allison Hay and Louise Young, receiving their awards for 40 years of sterling service and contribution to Republic Bank.

Republic Bank congratulates all the staff on a job well done and wishes them great success in their endeavours.
