RepublicOnboard Terms and Conditions

GENERAL
This Agreement governs your use of the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application which allows you to open a Republic e-Free Deposit Account ("e-Free Account”) or apply for a Republic Visa Classic Credit Card (“Visa Classic Card”). Before proceeding with your application there are a few important points that you should consider.

This Agreement incorporates additional terms, conditions, policies and procedures which include but are not limited to the Privacy Policy, Internet Banking Terms and Conditions and the FATCA Terms and Conditions. You may access these additional terms and conditions through the links provided or you may request a copy from us.

In this Agreement, "you" and "your" refer to the applicant or account holder. The words “Republic Bank”, “Republic”, “our” “us” and “we” refer to Republic Bank Limited and its affiliates. “Republic Group” means Republic Financial Holdings Limited and any of its subsidiaries and affiliates.

By selecting “I agree”, completing the applicable registration form or using the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application, you confirm and agree that you have read and understood this Agreement and all other terms incorporated into it by reference. You further acknowledge and agree that this Agreement (and its incorporated terms) are commercially reasonable and binding on you.

It is your decision to communicate personal information to Republic through the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application. If you do not agree to the terms set out in our Privacy Policy, please do not proceed.

ACCOUNTS OFFERED VIA RepublicOnboard WEBSITE OR MOBILE APPLICATION
The e-Free Account and the VISA Classic Credit Card are available to individuals who are 18 years or older and are nationals of and resident in Trinidad and Tobago. These accounts are strictly for personal (i.e. non-business/commercial) use only and are the only accounts that can be opened via the RepublicOnboard website or RepublicOnboard mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple Store.

e-Free Account
The e-Free Account is targeted to customers whose preference is to use electronic banking channels. There are no monthly maintenance fees and all ABM, POS and Mobile Banking transactions are free. A charge is only applied if you exceed the three (3) in branch debit transactions allowed per month. Republic Bank International VISA Classic Card
The Visa Classic Card allows customers to qualify for the minimum pre-approved limit of US$500.00. The card allows the flexibility of local and overseas use, both online and in store, and monthly dual currency statements are available electronically. CHANGES IN SERVICES / TERMS
Republic may change the terms of this Agreement at any time. You will be notified of any such change as required by applicable law.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
You are responsible for the correctness and accuracy of any information you supply to Republic or upload to the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application. Republic accepts no liability for any consequences arising out of erroneous information or the accuracy, reliability or completeness of information supplied by you or otherwise.

If you notice an error in the information supplied to Republic either in the application form or any other communication, you must immediately advise us in writing.

YOUR REPRESENTATIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND UNDERTAKINGS
By completing the application or uploading any information or documents you are confirming and warranting that you are legally entitled to do so and that all information provided is authentic, accurate and complete. You further confirm and warrant that you are 18 years and older, are a national of and resident in Trinidad and Tobago.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you access the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application from a secure location, connection or device. You agree to keep safe and not disclose to a third person any login details, passwords or PINS designated for your use to enable your access to and use of the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application. If you opt to enable any biometric authentication feature to login to the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application, please note that any of the fingerprints or face identification which you have stored on your mobile device may login to the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application. You must therefore ensure that only your fingerprints or face are stored on your device. You should ensure the security of the security codes as well as the password or code that you use to register your face, fingerprint, other biometric identification on your mobile device. You understand that the face, fingerprint or other authentication module of your mobile device is not provided by Republic, and we make no representation, warranty or guarantee as to the security of the face, fingerprint or other authentication function of any permitted mobile device and whether it works in the way that the manufacturer of the device represents. You agree that Republic is authorised to access your information and your accounts and to process any instructions we receive under your passwords, PINS or other login credentials and that these procedures are commercially reasonable.

You may visit our Security Centre at https://www.republictt.com/about/security-centre for tips on protecting your personal information and access to your personal devices, but please note that in providing you with these tips, Republic is in no way accepting any liability for your mobile, electronic or data security.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS CHARGES AND FEES
You are responsible for all charges and fees incurred from your telecommunications or internet provider (including all internet, SMS or mobile data charges).

1. Republic is not required to independently verify the accuracy or authenticity of any information you provide or document you upload.
2. Your successful upload of information or documents or your completion of any form is not irrevocable approval of your application as Republic at any time and without assigning any reason has the right to suspend or deny you access to the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application, or to close your e-Free Account or VISA Classic Card Account.
3. From time to time, it may be possible that the system supporting the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application may require maintenance and during such time your access to and/or use of the website or mobile application may be suspended or interrupted. In such event, Republic will not be liable to you for any consequences whatsoever flowing from such interruption or suspension.
4. Under no circumstances will Republic be liable to you if the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application is not available for any reason including but not limited to natural calamities, legal restraints, faults in the telecommunication network or network failure, or any other reason beyond the control of Republic.
5. Republic provides the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application “as is” and unless we have acted in a manner prohibited by law, under no circumstances will Republic be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, whether such loss or damage is indirect, incidental or consequential and irrespective of whether any claim is based on loss of revenue, interruption of business or loss of any other character or nature and whether sustained by you or any other person.

CONFIDENTIALITY
You have a right to confidentiality and Republic is committed to protecting your personal information. Please note that Republic may disclose information about you or your accounts in response to or in connection with credit inquiries; legal process, court order, or if disclosure is necessary, desirable or to protect Republic's interests. We will use your information for a number of different purposes, for example, to assess your eligibility for an account(s) with us, to manage your account(s), to provide our products and services to you and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We may also share your information with our trusted affiliate companies within the Republic Group for these purposes.

RISKS
It is your decision to communicate personal information to Republic through the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application. You therefore accept and agree that you access and use the RepublicOnboard website or mobile application at your own risk which risk includes (but is not limited to) the risk of unauthorized third persons obtaining access to your personal information electronic devices, personal computers or accounts, through frauds, misuse, hacking, infection / attacks by viruses or other malicious, destructive or corruptive codes; or other actions.

You therefore agree that Republic is not liable for any loss or damage flowing from such unauthorized access and you agree to assume sole responsibility for and indemnify/protect Republic against all risks arising out of any such loss or damage.

ENFORCEABILITY AND LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. If any term or provision of this Agreement is determined unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms and provisions will be unaffected and will continue to bind you. The unenforceable term or provision will be replaced by an enforceable term or provision that comes closest to the underlying intention of the unenforceable term or provision.
