Republic Bank Cements Commitment To Youth Through Decibel

Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, March 28, 2018: “Our goal is to remain present and relevant in the spaces where our young adults exist, so that we can build relationships that go beyond banking.” Those were the words of Republic Bank Marketing Manager – Customer Engagement, Karen McSween, as she addressed invitees at the Republic Bank Decibel Entertainment Festival Media Launch, held yesterday, at Queen’s Hall, St. Ann’s.

As the continued platinum sponsor of the event, Republic Bank has cemented its belief that the nation’s youth have the ability to achieve remarkable success, once they are inspired and supported.

Now in its fifth year, the relationship fostered between Republic Bank and Question Mark Entertainment continues to blossom. Simon Baptiste, CEO of Question Mark Entertainment, said that the event’s success would not have been possible without the support of Republic Bank.

This year, the Republic Bank Decibel Entertainment Festival will deepen its focus on the Arts and Culture, through the introduction of an arts exhibition village that will feature artwork from secondary school students from across the country. In addition to common attractions, such as the cosplay competition, Bmobile’s Zombie Island and Republic Bank’s Gamers Republic, one lucky participant will also have the opportunity to be awarded an internship with popular Carnival mas band, The Lost Tribe.

The four-day event which is synonymous with inviting the biggest names in entertainment to our shores, will also feature actor Avan Jogia, of Nickelodeon notoriety and actress Alisha Boe, of the Netflix series – 13 Reasons Why.
