Entrepreneur Business Builder (EBB) Programme 2024 IS HERE!

“Heartiest congratulations to Republic Bank and Business and People Development Associates...I encourage all women in CARICOM member states to dream big...” CARICOM Secretary General, Dr. Carla Barnett

The third cohort of the Entrepreneurs Business Builder (EBB) programme launches March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day. The programme is open to 80 women entrepreneurs from across Barbados, British Virgin Islands, the Eastern Caribbean Islands, Grenada, Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.

The EBB programme, developed and facilitated by Business and People Development Associates (BPD), is tailormade to help women entrepreneurs to grow technology-enabled, future-proofed, profitable businesses. Persons wishing to participate may apply from March 8 to 31, 2024. Successful applicants will receive an 80% scholarship funding from Republic Bank, made possible through our Power to Make a Difference Programme.

HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT MESSAGES TO COMMEMORATE THE LAUNCH:
“I extend heartiest congratulations to Republic Bank Limited and Business and People Development Associates Limited, for conceptualising and introducing the Entrepreneurs Business Builder Programme. This bold and important initiative has positively impacted Caribbean women, including supporting over one hundred in sustaining their livelihoods during the COVID-19 pandemic. As you launch the 2024 Programme and welcome the third cohort of participants, it is fitting that this coincides with International Women’s Day, where the theme, “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress” places the spotlight on the critical role women play in the development of their communities and countries. I encourage all women in CARICOM Member States to dream big. I wish the participants and the organisers of the Programme every success and a Happy International Women’s Day.” Dr. Carla Barnett, Secretary General, CARICOM.

“The EBB is an integral component of the Bank’s increased strategic support of Micro, Small and Medium entrepreneurs. We believe that every woman has the potential to be a successful business owner, and our Bank wants to be a leader in creating an enabling ecosystem for all entrepreneurs. For us, the EBB is not a passive donation of funding, but an investment. Through workshop content and financing, we’re deeply invested in ensuring that each EBB participant excels and soars.” P. Vic Salickram, Vice President, Republic Bank

“To grow sustainable profitable businesses, MSMEs need to understand business fundamentals, in addition to access to finance. BPD’s EBB is a unique combination of education and implementation support that equips women entrepreneurs with knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in the 21st Century. EBB is more than a training programme; it's the partner in growth.” Georgina Terry-Cowan, Managing Director BPD

“EBB has been a game-changer! I now have structure in my clinic, with a clear brand and realistic goals. I also manage my book-keeping more efficiently and now offer additional services”. Marsha Nicholson, EBB alumni and owner of Spice Orchid Physiotherapy Services, Grenada

“I had an eye-opening experience. I learnt that in order for me to succeed I must first change my mindset from employee to CEO. I am so grateful for this awesome programme”. Wendie Wilson, EBB alumni and owner of SUGAAREIGN, St Vincent and the Grenadines
