The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, gave us the honour of hosting him for dinner during his recent visit to Trinidad and Tobago.
Our Chairman, Ronald F. deC. Harford, said the event felt like a family reunion especially as Republic Bank has found such a warm and welcoming home Ghana.

President Akufo-Addo’s visit came on the heels of Republic Bank Ghana’s second Caribbean Trade Mission to Ghana which gave both the Ghanaian business community and the Caribbean delegates opportunities to meet, interact and seek out business opportunities and partnerships to further advance trade between the Caribbean and Africa. The Trade Mission’s delegates included Caribbean representatives from SACHA Cosmetics, an international makeup brand for multicultural women, Great Foods Company, a canned meat production company and GreenSol Limited, a service and products supplier to downstream, upstream and refining sector of the Oil and Gas industry.

Both the Trade Mission and President Akufo-Addo’s visit are evidence of the growing ties between the Caribbean and Ghana. As we continue to advance mutual interests in areas like trade, finance, energy and culture we also carry the promise of building even closer relations in the future.
