Port of Spain, Trinidad, November 3, 2025: The 2025 Republic Bank Laventille Netball League concluded its exciting season this past Saturday, marking another year of exceptional talent, teamwork, and dedication from young athletes across the region.

This year’s season was defined by passion, perseverance, and excellence, and the closing ceremony celebrated not only the achievements of the athletes but also the community of coaches, families, and volunteers who support them. Republic Bank, through its Power to Make a Difference programme, has proudly partnered with the League for 38 years, supporting youth development, gender equality in sports, and the creation of opportunities for all.

The 2025 champions across divisions include:
  • Kiwi Division: 1st Place – Phoenix Phury
  • Beginners Division: 1st Place – Valencia Eagles
  • B’s Division: 1st Place – Cardinals
  • Inters Division: 1st Place – Maraval
  • A2 Division: 1st Place – Cardinals

“The dedication, courage, and commitment displayed by these young athletes truly exemplify the spirit of our Power to Succeed pillar,” said Somers Julien, Branch Sales Manager, Park Street. “We celebrate their achievements and continue to invest in platforms that empower youth and foster excellence in sports and life.”

The League has grown tremendously over the years, now featuring approximately 28 youth clubs across multiple divisions. What began as a small community tournament has evolved into a major national event, inspiring the next generation of leaders both on and off the court.
